I am surprised at this step of the University, keeping in mind that it takes a long time to develop an expertise in Pure Mathematics, and when there is some one like this, he/she would not be extended to obtain the maximum gain that the expertise can provide. Valentin is obviously someone which any University would like to extend so that much more can be obtained in terms of capacity development from his expertise.
