The United Church New Creed affirms:
"We are not alone, we live in God's world. . .
We trust in God. . .
We are called to be the Church:
to celebrate God's presence, to live with respect in Creation, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil. . .
In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us.
We are not alone.
Thanks be to God."
A major part of our beliefs is that we are "called to seek justice." SOGI is crucial to providing justice for a marginalized community created in God's image.

I have an MDiv and an MATS, and have worked in ministry. I firmly support SoGI, and the right of all this to be loved and cared for for who they are. Understanding our differences makes us a better, more compassionate society, not a less ethical one.
