There needs to be separate generes for Soca and Calypso. They deserve to be separate from reggae and dancehall simply based on their history and derivative nature.

Soca IS a genre! Calypso IS a genre. Caribbean music is just as, if not more, diverse than music across the world. We have gospel reggae (Our Father in Zion - Buju Banton), R&B (Jah Cure & Gyptian), hip hop (Vybz Kartel) and so much more. Just acknowledge the BASICS, Please!!
