The regulations at school are wonderful and have proved effective just like other business and companies have implemented, so there’s no good reason why the kids can’t go back while all of these regulations are in place!

Kids and Teachers are essential! The kids need this and we are failing them. We can do better.

My kids have wonderful teachers this year... they did so well when they were on campus. We really would like them back in the classroom.

Please open the schools. It is not in the kids best interest to remain in the remote learning environment. Please vaccinate the teachers and get the kids back to school ASAP. Most private schools in CA are up and running without major issues (including Gov Newsom’s own kids). Public schools should open as well.

Our Kids can not last any longer doing distance learning, they have lost the love for learning. They are Isolated, Depressed, stressed, feeling anxious, and completely disconnected. The only solution is getting our children back in the classes with their teachers a peers. Distance learning is a short term solution, and SMUSD is making it a long term solution that is not viable. My 2nd grader is in his fundamental learning age and he is not getting the education he needs to succeed in the future of learning. My fourth grader still struggles with some fundamental learning so he need more one on one support and to be in an environment where he can ask questions and have hands on assistance. Give us a choice as we pay our taxes and know what is best for our children. What is best for my kids is to be in a in person class! Tracie Cacho
