Keep the Cats at SMU - Save the Feral Cat Program at Southern Methodist University

This is an outrage. Killing the cats is inhumane & will not solve your flea problem. Your grant needs to be taken away. Terminix needs to be boycotted. They sold SMU a line of BS for a heafty paycheck.

Please don't remove these cats! Most will not survive! It's not their fault they are out there

Please re-think The Feral cat program. What you are doing now to the cats is inhumane and barbaric. Who came up with this cruel process? I would like to know

Let the prior cat program alone. Why must the inhuman people overrule the people who are making a difference with God's creatures ?

The current neuter and release and care of feral cats is and excellent way to teach students how to care for animals....having an exterminator come out is not. Shame on you SMU.

Shocked to hear how this is being "handled" and livid that shooting cats is being suggested. . Obviously there was a program organized at the school to address the feral cat issue... pretty sure some discussion would generate more humane solutions.

SMU should have people who can do basic research, for Pete's sake. Get your act together and leave the cats and their caregivers alone.

This is infuriating and heartbreaking. As someone who helps trap and release feral cats and has witnessed the dynamic change when one goes missing, I am outraged by tbis ridiculous plan. Everything it says here makes sense. The method is humane, the flea reasoning absurd, and there will definitely be more feral cats to fake the removed ones place.

Show some humanity. These are living, breathing and feeling animals. They did not ask to be feral.

I graduated from Meadows in 2001 with a BFA in Studio Art. DO NOT KILL THE FERAL CATS. Seriously, don't be a monster. I want to continue to be proud of my school.

Please continue to support the feral colony of cats on campus. Tnr and feeding in the colony isms proven method of control and is the only humane action for a Christian steward of Gods creatures

Please protect these cats according to your city ordinance protecting them.

Open communication is the way to solve problems! Shutting down a program without notice - coward's way out!!

Please don't stop the feeding of these cats it's there home also and as long as you do a TNR program population will thin out over the years.

This was convenient to SMU when the program got grants and notoriety. They market with this on their website. What has changed? If there were going to be bad flea problems it would have been all ten years, not just now.

Please let the poor animals live and sustain.

This is cruel. People do a lot for the well being of these cats. These cats should be able to live out their lives naturally.
