Downtown Jackson needs to embrace green spaces in future downtown development, or there will probably be no one that wants to use downtown development.

I've used Smith Park for lunch breaks many times. Improvements to this park are sorely needed. Quality can be raised thanks to all this planning. Next, let's increase the quantity of city parks in Jackson!

How amazing would it be to get to hang out and enjoy a green space next to the Governor's Mansion! The block surrounding Smith Park is so beautiful with the white, brick wall of the Governor's Mansion, the many palatial buildings and churches, etc etc. I look forward to the day when I can go play yard games with friends or put a blanket out and read on this fresh, green expanse in the heart of downtown Jackson - the heart of my City!

As an individual who works around the corner and walks to eating establishments downtown, revitalizing this park would be great! I am in full support.

Not only is Smith Park of historic significance, it is a vital outdoor space for the capitol city With improvements, it could provide a key focal point for citizens and tourists alike and enhance other official and celebratory activities of the Capitol Complex. Let's put Smith Park back into positive use for Mississippi!

This needs to be a priority for many reasons, one of which is to make the park more ADA accessible.

I spent countless hours in playing in Smith Park as a child. Very fond memories, especially when it was renovated the and the water flowed through the park in the 1970s.
