See no problem with people having chickens in their backyard. Should have a limit though if in town, such as 6-8 per household.

Raising and owning chickens should not be an issue. These animals are easy, and provide a renewal food source to both owners and their neighbors.

I have 4 chickens and have had them in raleigh and they allow chickens as well as roosters. the hens are very quiet and lay eggs that are better for you and do not cause any issues what so ever.

Many local areas around us allow backyard chickens including Cary, Garner, Clayton. When kept responsibly, they are very helpful, quiet, and clean.

This is very near and dear to my heart. It's been a deciding factor in not buying a home with an HOA. Chickens are not a nuisance to neighbors if taken care of, just like any pet.
