My youngest son had a communication delay. Masks at his daycare by teachers and peers were covering up the signals he needed to learn to help his communication development - for example, how the mouth moves with certain sounds and how emotions are shown on the face that help communication. We pulled him out of daycare because we felt this was not conducive to overcoming his communication delay. Please see how this is hurting our children!

Masked and unmasked communities have similar cases. It's time make mental health a priority once again! It has been 2 years, we should all be free to make our own medical decisions!

The benefits of masks in preventing serious illness or death from COVID-19 among children are infinitesimally small. At the same time they are disruptive to learning and communicating in classrooms. COVID-19 is less of a threat to children than accidents or the common flu. The survival rate among American children with confirmed cases is approximately 99.99%; remarkably, recent studies find an even higher survival rate. Masks do more harm than good. Unmask the children!

Stadiums are packed with unmasked people. Why are these kids wearing them?! Let them be kids!

No masks are critical for the mental health if children. The long term issues will far outweigh any threat from COVID has to them.

I have a hard of hearing 3 year old that her speech has not improved with mask wear and I also have a 9 year old with Mental health issues since the Pandemic started.

I support ending the mask mandate. My children’s mental and social health is better without wearing a mask. 0.0% of deaths in Wisconsin from Covid 19 are children. Parents should have a choice.

While some children might be fine wearing masks, others are not. I’m particularly worried about English language learners, young children who are in the peak of language, social and emotional development, and children with speech delays, hearing impairments, sensory processing disorders, and more. Please consider the negative impacts long term mask wearing could have on children. The burden of keeping adults in the community healthy should never rest on the shoulders of my four and six year old daughters.

I am part of a company that’s natural supplements allow our own bodies happy hormones to be released. Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, Endorphins. I have parents reaching out to my daily about their child’s anxiety, mood swings, depression, headaches, negative behaviors, gut health issues… it is heartbreaking. Our children’s mental and physical health is suffering tremendously! We have got to stop with the masks!
