Those are some good points. I will just install the game once more to give me the feeling of getting owned pretty badly again, but this time I will improve.

I find the traps-change to be overkill, my suggestions to make traps less abusable: Make snare posts taller + straight rope, add a charge-time for caltrops (higher charge = wider caltrop-radius (effectively forcing a player to charge up a good bit to have them cover a good area).
For bows, I think it'd be good to remove the mid-air inaccuracy (skill > luck), but replace it with having the bow-holding player be slowed ~30-50%, making it easier for people to catch up, and making bows more useful for long-mid range combat, instead of melee-ranged combat.
However I like most of these other suggestions.
