They actually listened and are finally lifting the restrictions so the tanks can be emptied at last. I am genuinely stunned that we pushed this through the red tape but it just goes to show what happens when we just refuse to go away. Keep an eye on the guidance …

I honestly never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and it just proves everyone is feeling the exact same level of frustration with these ridiculous timing rules. It is wild to see how many people are dealing with the same overflowing tanks and the constant rain really is not helping anyone at all.

Fertiliser ban needs looked at too. If the weather does improve we need to grow for grass on some drier ground for zero grazing, extremely short of silage and closed with TB
How could there be a slurry ban this winter with tanks sitting half full already. A wee bit of cop on is required especially if the weather improves going into October
I'm a contractor In the south and the slurry ban causes huge amounts of slurry being spread over the next month on wet land and huge amounts being spread after the 15th of January whatever the weather before the ban we spread when the weather suited now we spread when we are allowed whatever the weather it's madness and it's very stressfull
Ban has to go can't work now not allowed to work in winter amongst other things leaves a lot of contractors not able to offer full time jobs!
The flooding in North West and continuing wet weather has seen cattle being housed..a long time till May...slurry tanks couldnt be emptied due to rain. These tanks will be full by November if we dont get dry weather. There will be disasterous consequences.
Need to remain open due to inclimate weather leading up to 15th Oct 17 closed window...
farmers must be listened too , we know how to work with the weather not the time of year like the pen pushers want us too

Farmers should be permitted to farm according to the weather and ground conditions, not by dates imposed by the EU or government departments
