The Springvale neighbourhood is a quiet residential area with elementary and other schools, children, joggers, walkers, cyclists, and pets. One of the main streets is Springvale Avenue, a big hill up and down which many vehicles speed. My cat Charlie was killed recently by one of these reckless drivers, who hit-run with their car and left him to die. Excessive speed on a residential street is deadly not only to animals, but children, elderly, all people in fact walking, jogging, and cycling. Help me raise awareness so that Halifax Regional Municipality makes changes to Springvale Avenue by putting in speed bumps or other traffic slowing measures on this street to slow speeding cars.
