Without question Sloan deserves this honor with all they did in early 90s and how many very good songs they had and performed

No group influenced the indie rock scene in the 90’s like Sloan. They could be inducted not only as artists, but also as builders for the work that they did exposing the East Coast rock scene.

Music has been a huge chunk of my life, and Sloan figures in prominently. From digging Twice Removed in my last year of high school, to seeing them continue to put out high quality music to this day, Sloan is super deserving to be inducted into Canada’s music hall of fame.

Sloan’s contributions to music in Canada are immeasurable. Patrick, Chris, Jay and Andrew are four of Canada’s most outstanding song writers, singers and performers who have delivered creatively for 30 years, toured relentlessly, and consistently produced music that promotes Canadian culture and a passion for rock and roll

30 years. 12-going-on-13 studio albums, two of them doubles. Two studio EPs. One triple-vinyl live album. Self-produced deluxe reissue box sets and official bootlegs. A handful of non-album singles and bonus tracks, or past masters, if you catch my drift. Over 200 released original songs. And this is all with the same four separate A-level songwriters and lead vocalists as day one. You might think you can say the same of your favorite band, but you can’t. Induct Sloan now.
