Sloan’s consistent greatness over 12 studio albums (and counting) is virtually unparalleled. Even when erroneously dubbed “the Canadian Nirvana” near their inception, they stayed true to their 4 distinct sounds and just cranked out amazing music while amassing a loyal and vocal fan base. They represent Canada and Canadian rock music well, and they belong in the Hall of Fame.

Their music is histirically and culturally significant to the country of Canada and to Canadians all around the world. They've helped to define and yet totally transcended an era in our popular culture. Their aesthetic, passion, and not least of all their music should deem them more than worthy of celebration, recognition, and remembrance. They've made fantastic albums and singles for 30 years with more on the horizon. Put them in!

Sloan's music has been a big part of my life for over 20 years. I am part of the US fanbase that is small but devoted to these four hugely talented singer-songwriters. They deserve all the accolades and then some.

Sloan have been a huge part of the soundtrack of my life for several decades. One of the hardest working bands out there. I have and will continue go see them play each time they visit Alberta. I’m always so baffled at how underrated they seem to be.

I can't name another band that has been so consistently brilliant over a 30 year span. They've been called "The Canadian Beatles" in different international magazines. Surely they deserve a gong.
