For 36 years, Scottish Borders Council have funded a bus for 2 summer months only, once weekly from Hawick and once weekly from Lauder, to Moffat, via St Mary's Loch. This passes through some of the most remote and spectacular scenery in UK. Without it, tourists from all countries, as well as locals without private transport, will be denied access altogether from this fabulous route, not served by any other public transport. I'm looking for support for a petition to Scottish Borders Council to restore this service, even if it has to be on a more limited basis.
