The campaign has been created to draw attention to the Slade 'Hall of Fame Induction' campaign, It is a fan page and is not associated with any member of Slade, their management or record company.
The Slade Induction Campaign is non profit and is created purely to bring Slade to the attention of anyone and everyone - not a bad thing.
The four members of Slade came together in 1966. They stayed together until 1991 and during that time they became a musical institution with a live act second to none. They were constantly compared to the Beatles, had 6 number ones and sold 50 million records during the 70's alone. Their album 'Slade Alive!' is often cited as one of the best live albums ever released and their film, Slade In Flame, is recognised by critics today, 35 years after it's release, as "the best rock movie of all time."
With 33 top 30 hits to their name, a second coming in the 80's and recognition from the likes of Kiss, The Who, Oasis and a plethora of luminaries from the music business, it is time for a little respect and recognition for 'services rendered.' Slade, are not just for Christmas and they are more than a Glam Rock band.
We have instigated a Hall Of Fame campaign for Slade and with the release all Slade's remastered albums the timing couldn't be better, this is a serious campaign - with your support we can get the recognition Slade so deserve - so c'mon, make some NOIZE.......
