We are a group of parents of children who attend South Lancaster Academy and Browning Elementary School. We are supportive and work hard to make sure our kids have a great education.
As of recent we have become aware of the latest change in school dismissal time which was voted by the board according to the Friday newsletter. We would like to request the board to reconsider this change of dismissal time and find an alternative option to the 2:45pm (Monday - Thursday) and 1:15pm (Friday) dismissal times 2014-2015 school year.

The feedback I have received from other families highlights just how much these schedule adjustments impact our daily responsibilities. I am currently reaching out to board members to secure a formal meeting where we can discuss more sustainable solutions for everyone involved.

Reaching this level of support confirms that our concerns regarding the schedule change are shared by many families within our community. It is clear that the current dismissal times have created significant challenges for our daily routines. This collective response provides the foundation we need to return to the board with a request for a more sustainable solution.

Ridiculous change. My kid gets out way to early now. Hope they change it back before next semester starts.
This makes pickup impossible for working moms. The board needs to think about how this affects real families who have jobs.
