Dear Skylight Board, Thank you. We would like to sincerely thank you for reconsidering the decision to eliminate the position of Artistic Director and to invite Bill Theisen to return in that role for next season. We are excited to know that you value the role of a separate artistic director and specifically value the talents and knowledge that Bill possesses in both opera and musical theatre. We hope that you continue to work to find a set of circumstances that is amenable for Bill to return. We are glad to know that some of the concerns we have raised have been heard and acted on. We believe Bill's return would restore a measure of trust with many artists, patrons, subscribers, and donors, all of whose support will be necessary to successfully address the financial concerns. We hope that the board continues to work to find creative solutions that ensure the quality of the artistic product, support the core business of Skylight, and proactively address the financial situation.
