Skateparks are a great addition to any community. Not only does it 'cause young people to come together, it also becomes a social hub, almost removing the loitering teenagers in town centers. Personally, I believe it's time that the Scottish councils started to recognize that sports such as Skateboarding, Inline Skating, BMX and Scootering require places to hone and refine a person's skills and abilities. Football players get astroturf and playing fields, tennis players get courts. Almost every sport in Scotland is catered for to some degree, and receives financial backing for maintenance and upstart fees. It's time that Action Sports received the same treatment.

I hope we get a skatepark even if it is the same as falkirk but it would be amazing if it was like Saughton or something

we need one in grangemouth my son loves the skatepark and has to go to the falkirk one which is the closest last year when he went he had a accident on way home which was close to a busy road ended up spending night in hospital he was okay apart from bad bruises I hate the thought of him having to cross all the busy roads on way
