Before this was skate fe, this piece of land was an olive plant where my dad spent 20 plus years working hard to support my family.. The plant eventually shut down and thousands of dedicated hard workers like my father were "laid off" and thrown out as if they were disposable . My good friends and people I played music with worked and continue to work very hard to keep this place going, and to see the art and masterpieces they have created on a deserted abandoned slab of concrete, that once depressed me to see ; makes my soul feel alittle better about what the place has become. They have done their part as well to give back to the community (organizing toys or tots events etc) Please spare skate fe , it is more than just a business opportunity to people up and down California, who travel from everywhere to have a chance to see skate fe in the flesh. Why take a positive thing away , that keeps people/ kids out of trouble ; that, is also non-profit and replace it with something useless, there is no more music scene, everything gets taken away once the city and banks see other people gaining from something like this .

The community has come together to help build a really awesome skate place for people of all ages. Helping to keep kids out of trouble and physically fit and healthy. This project has really become quite beautiful.

The unofficial development of the property to a skatepark has created something very positive in a community/region that could use all the help it can get
If there's anyway to support this and not remove it I think the community will benefit greatly for many years to come
