I am 30, a husband, a father, and a skater. There is such an undeniable joy that comes with skateboarding. A freeing feeling that you just can't get from anything else. Taking a good skate spot away is like taking a family member. It's tough when skateparks are limited, causing kids to go to the streets. We all know how that ends all too well. I personally avoid the streets and skate what's provided. It is tough when you can find a basketball court on every corner, when skateparks are few and far between. In the end American greed wins, it's all about money. It's about chubby rich business men and women getting their fill. It isn't and never will be about a thriving community of skateboarders skating in harmony with one another. Thanks for your time

This park serves as an outreach, and for kids to build positive memories. This is home to some of these skaters. Please, keep this good thing going. Skateboarding is not a sport; it is a culture, and it is a lifestyle. You can't tear down someone's culture and way of life.
