It's been there for years, it's a part of the community and the kids grew up in it.

Help keep kids off drugs and involved in positive activities. Skateboarding is a great stimulant and activity for one's mental well-being.

For the past 2 1/5 years, time and money have been put towards building this park with permission from the owner. The park is a creative outlet for people young and old. It would be a waste of time, energy, and funds to tear down the park, being that so much time, energy and funds were selflessly poured into creating a legitimate and safe place to skate. Skateboarding allows people to express themselves in a way that they can't do in any other sport. Skate culture creates ways for children without adult figures in their lives to form friendships and bonds with older skaters. Because of this, they have people of all colors and creeds influencing them and encouraging them to persevere and commit to something. To take this away would be to take away stability, it would be to take away culture. The park's name is Skate Fe, it has become a place for people of all walks of life to throw away preconceived stereotypes about others, it has become a place of freedom, a place of creativity, a place to take ownership in. Skate Fe has value, and to tear it down would be to devalue an entire lifestyle.

The banks never let us skate in the parking lot, we were always going there after they closed, the manager came out one day and said, " sorry you kids can't skate here, but I will suggest that our city builds a skate park somewhere else for you to skate at, you should be able to do what you love outside in a place meant to skate at". They should be able to find a different spot not take over an already designated skate park..

Humans need fun and exercise and a safe place to skate. This is where it happens for a lot of people in this city. DON'T FUCK THIS UP.

Would you rather have then in the parking lots or jumping curbs? Why wouldn't Visalia keep it open?

While running, I pass this place frequently. The kids are always nice, they are having fun, and are intent on improving their skating skills, not to mention being outside & active. They worked hard to build this themselves and this place is not a burden to anyone. Unlike the city's skate park on Jacob St., this is in a much safer location, out of the way of residential areas. Tri-Counties Bank needs to cut a deal and get a tax deduction by donating the land or greatly discounting it.
