The skateboarding community has been instrumental in helping to save my life from addiction. People need to have skate spots. It's our art, our healthy release. Lots of skaters are hard working people like myself that need to blow off steam in a healthy way. Besides, wouldn't you rather have the youth in the park having some fun while doing something they love than being in the streets? Skaters are generally really cool, friendly and good people. It's about the love of the sport, the love of the artistic expression and the love of skateboarding. Do the right thing, don't close this park. Thanks, Jeff Bozeman

I took my kids here last winter, which was the best decision I've ever made. We saw some z boys type action happening right before our eyes. I remember when the dog town video came out, because it changed my life (and I was 35 with a wife and kids). We stopped at the local k mart to buy me some pads and a board before coming here, but the action was way too radical to get in the way of. Instead of skateboarding I decided to set up a picnic, where my family and I enjoyed some sandwiches while watching the local shredders rip this skateboard ramp with ease.
Let it be! This is an important community space.
