Kenny Dalglish, as a player, has won the Scottish league title four times, the Scottish Cup four times, The Scottish League Cup, The English League title six times, the FA Cup, The League Cup four times, the European Cup three times (same as in the entire history of Manchester United, and three times more than all the London clubs put together ever), the European Super Cup and The InterContinental cup. As a manager he has won the League title four times at Liverpool, and the Premier League at Blackburn Rovers having taken over when they were in Division Two. He also became only the third manager post war to win the double, scoring the goal that won the league title himself as a player manager with an audacious volley, and he’s not even an OBE. He took over Liverpool after the Heysel stadium disaster, in unbelievably difficult circumstances and never acted with anything but dignity. His conduct in 1989 during the aftermath of the worst tragedy in English football history at Hillsborough was exemplary and dignified. He is a true leader and the level of respect he is granted by Liverpool fans is unique. He also spent the vast majority of his off field life since 2004 raising awareness and money for breast cancer. He is literally a living saint.
