Single use plastic bag ban in Malden

It is time. Malden’’s trees look like they are growing plastic bags... there’s no need for such a destructive wasteful product.

Yes, go for it! Before we approach individual stores, it is crucial to have endorsement from Chamber of Commerce (in writing).

Let’s not stop at bags - how about styrofoam containers, plastic straws and utensils?

We try to reuse these bags as much as possible if we get them. The big problem is JRM won't recycle them!

This is CRITICAL. If we do not take BOLD STEPS to reduce single-use plastic we will continue to accelerate the killing of our planet. Let's do the right thing for our children and their children...

I support this initiative to ban single use plastic bags in Malden.

The public does not see many of the plastic bags that flow through the storm water systems or are windblown into our rivers and sink out of view. Then the bags degrade but do not decompose. Also plastic bags degrade recycling by misuse. Plastic bags ruin potential recycling materials. Thank you.

100% support banning ALL 'single use' plastic (bags or otherwise.)

This is a necessity for Malden. Litter is a major issue in our community and thin films are not recyclable in our system. This should be an easy environmental win.
