While TS 4 is the first edition of The Sims I have played since briefly engaging in Sims 1, and I rather like it in comparison, I still have seen and read a great deal from those who have played the other iterations to know that the omission of the Toddler stage tends to hollow out one's appreciation for this version.
How much richer it would be, even for me, if that phase were included and I sincerely hope, and by way of this petition, strongly urge the creative branch of EA/Maxis to find a way to restore the content which was skipped over.
I honestly feel that a spot of market research should have been done before deciding on the direction of Sims 4 back in its drawing board days, but skilled programmers shouldn't have an excess of difficulty re-introducing the toddler life stage.

Toddlers is my favorite line of the game. I do not think anything normal for a newborn to turn a child out of nowhere. If The Sims is a life simulator, please simulate better!

When I first heard the Sims 4 wouldn't have toddlers, I was crushed. Still, the team promised toddlers so I went ahead and bought the game. Without toddlers, I find it really hard to get into the Sims 4. I try, play for a while, then as soon as it comes time for my sims family to have kids, I get disappointed all over again and quit. I haven't played the game in months and I haven't bought any of the packs or expansions because of this. The toddler life stage is such a big part of sims story building and growing attached to your sims. When babies jump straight to full grown children, it's so immersion breaking. I also find myself not playing the Sims 3 either, due to the jump back in graphics and AI. So, after a decade and a half of loyalty and love for the game, I'm just not playing the Sims at all anymore. Is that what EA wants? We were promised toddlers in the future, FOR FREE, and yet it's almost 2 years later and the staff seems to have conveniently forgotten all about their promise. In the year 2016, why are we stuck in a Sims 1 style life progression?

I was always so proud that I owned all Sims games, but now TS4 is missing... I sometimes think of buying it, but the lack of family play keeps me back. I love making families and legacies... I can live with the crib, but please just give us toddlers already!

I MISS TODDLERS A LOT OF PLAYERS DO YOU HAVE HAD THEM IN EVERY SIMS GAME BESIDES SIMS 1 TODDLERS JUST MAKE IT MORE FUN AND REALISTIC.....PLEASE PLEASE BRING THEM BACK

This is a vital life stage that was left out and sims grow up even more quickly. I don't understand why sims 2, sims 3, and the sims freeplay gets to have toddlers, but the sims 4 does not get toddlers.

I wasn't so much into toddlers. But honestly I won't lie and say I don't miss toddlers. When we grow up our babies they go straight into children, it doesn't feel the same without toddlers

The game is good, has its positive sides.
But the lack of toddlers is weak, this is a game simulation of life and take a stage ... and in a few ridiculous words!
