Everyone loves YouTube! It’s an amazing website that connects us to the world around us. We can watch funny videos about cats, music videos, how to videos at a click of a button.
We all love YouTube but sometimes there’s videos on YouTube we’d rather not see or like our children to see. Imagine if there was a way we could control what videos we wanted to watch. Imagine how much better our viewing experience would be? We’d be able to watch all the hilariously funny videos we want to watch while protecting ourselves against all those videos we’d rather wish never existed. How much better and easier would life be?
We believe that everyone has the right to safety, we believe that everyone should be able to watch what they want when they want to! And we want to see YouTube put in place a system which enables you to take control of your YouTube account and be able to choose what videos you want to see and those you’d rather not see. But we can’t do that without your help!
A classification system implemented by YouTube upon its clips posted on their site will give you the understanding of what you may view. The simple icons such as G, PG, M, MA+15, R+18, X+18 are well renowned and can be easy to identify what elements be may contained on the video.
Not affecting you! Simple icon! Simple safety! Simple viewing! Simply YouTube!

Great cause
I agree that we need a classification system that will protect Children. I may even go further be saying that we need a registration system that wont allow young people under 16 get on YOUTUBE without parent consent.

Thank you to the young people taking a stand to make filtering content easier and to protect the innocent parties who unwittingly view unsuitable content. Managers of sharing platforms like YouTube are potentially more accountable for protecting the innocent from unsuitable content then those who upload inappropriate items.
