The parents should ALWAYS have the final say... They are The Parents! The fact that something so personal and serious would be decided without their consent is not only mind blowing but a huge insult.

Sad there even has to be a petition for this! Dr.'s are suppose to be there to HELP, NOT decide who should, and shouldn't live. Whatever happened to FIRST DO NO HARM?! Does that even exist anymore?

It is sad that man thinks they are as God to determine who will live or die. Who receives health care and who doesn't. It takes an evil heart to turn away from a baby in distress in need of help and to not give them the chance at life they deserve. With all the medical knowledge that God has given to man and for a man to turn his head away, is a sin...that mercy will be given to him also on judgement day before the Lord God Almighty...

What happened to a doctors code of ethics...and when did they become God...I Plead The Blood Of Jesus Over This Petition and over those who make the decision over it. Over the hearts of the men and women who vote according to this law...May the Will Of God always prevail...In Jesus Name Amen...!!!

No child should be left to die, have care withheld, and not have every single effort made for their survival. All children - from conception onward - are human beings of equal and irreplaceable value and none should be deemed "lesser than" or "a waste of resources" by anyone. It is a blight on our society that this type of thinking persists. Parents should have full authority and be given utmost consideration and respect and fully active in the decision making processes regarding their children. That it takes something like this to address what should be humane and ethical behavior and common decency is an outrage.
