Every parent has the right to make medical decisions for their minor children. Please don't take that right away from parents who love and adore and care for their children.

I have the right as a parent to choose the value of my child, not some strange medical worker. My children are MY children, not someone else's. I will fight for the authority I have a right to over MY children. Simon's Law should be a mandatory law in every state in the US, and should be enforced in every medical care facility. I should have the authority to choose if a DNR should be set in place. All human life is precious and worth fighting for. Parents need to make the decision if it's the end of the line, that there's no hope, not some heartless doctors and rich hospital CEO's! It is time we parents take back our rights over our own children! Pass Simon's Law!

These children deserve the rights of all citizens - Medical people - doctors, especially - take an oath to do no harm. Yet they can make decisions that I believe amount to murder when they withhold life-saving efforts. How do they know what can happen if they give the child a chance to live and grow ...

I think the parents should be the only people to give the order to either continue life support to their child or not to continue. That is a parent's rights!

I am signing this today as a baby loss mother know that if this were my child I wouldn't want anyone else making the decision let alone not telling me they weren't going to try and help my baby if need be.

as a homecare nurse for severly disabled children I know how important it is that all parents are reasured that they have say in all medical decisions reguarding their child!!!!!!

I'm from north myrtle beach South Carolina- and no medical professional should ever have the right to deny ANY patient a life saving or quality of life improving procedure, medicine, treatment, surgery or therapy! Period. Their job is to better the lives of others disabled or not- dying or not. We're all dying- some are just doing it faster- but who are they to know whose time is whose. Their prognosis is NOT law! It isn't always right. And it's especially messed up- in dealing with minor children.
