04 May 1979, Simon "Black Hammer" "Tsipa" Skosana debuted his professional boxing career with a victory out pointing Victor Tladi at the previously known H Ngakane Hall, which was named eventually named Kwa Thema Community Hall. "Tsipa" continued to fight at the hall which was also known as Madison Square Garden to boxing enthusiasts a total 13 times of his 37 fights at this venue. As he continued to attract business during his fights locally he also brought a sense of pride and community to the people of Kwa Thema. Tsipa had a distinguished boxing career spanning 37 with 32 wins 7 KO's wins and 5 TKO's as his battle cry became "they come they fall round 7" as people of Kwa Thema all we can do to preserve his legacy is to keep his name name in the forefront and by naming Kwa Thema Community Hall would be one such gesture.

This is a great idea he was a legend in our community and this is long overdue.

It is important to celebrate and engrave the greats on monuments so we can teach the future generations.
