I have often thought Cato & Macro would be great on film. I even think they could outdo Bernard Cornwell's Sharp series. Reading other authors in this genre such as Conn Iggulden, Anthony Riches, Gordon Doherty and others, I think Simon Scarrow leads the field in this area by a long way!

I would love to see this as a tv series. Huge fan of the books as read them all. So much action and conspiracy, back stabbing but also factual so will be good for education however I would want this to be a more adult themed and not toned down for a younger audiance. At the end of the day the life of the legions was war so you would expect limbs flying and blood shed. (Like spartacus series) I really do hope this gets granted to be made into a tv series.

Roman history is very important and a film will introduce youngsters to this type of history.as the Romans were once Masters Of The World and developed our future.

Would be nice to see the films made true to books. Unlike the TV series "Legend of the Seeker" based on T Goodkind books where only part one/series 1 was made true to a book, with a real promise of the thrill , the rest were turned into films for kids. "Game of Thrones" is a good example. Impotant to see talented but ---unknown--- actors in the lead roles who will be suited perfectly for the roles by their appearance/features (Rome like) and talent.

Look how successful the series "ROME" was on HBO! I started reading Simon Scarrow last year, bought all the books in the Eagle Series and just started reading 'The Legion'. I'd love to see it happen on film. Love to see a complete series of all the books. "Spartacus" works on the "Starz" network cable, so The Eagle Series would be a far better option because of the history and characters involved. Just imagine 12 - 50 minute episodes per book, COOL!
