We, the undersigned residents of the town of Norwell, Massachusetts petition the Board of Selectmen and other Town Officials to continue pursuing the installation of the pathway to Grove Street. We understand that the Pathway Committee has proposed connecting the pathway to Grove Street by building a new pathway that would run from the end of Simon Hill to Grove and eventually to Wampatuck State Park over Town owner Land.

In addition to offering recreational opportunities, installing this infrastructure will connect in a safe manner numerous households to other key recreational (e.g., Clipper Community Complex, current Pathway and Wampatuck State Park), educational (e.g., Norwell High School and Norwell Middle School), municipal (e.g., Town Library) and cultural (e.g., James Library and Cushing Center) properties in town

I am meeting with town officials this week to present these signatures. Your support is precisely the leverage we need to keep this project moving.

The momentum is incredible. This shows town officials that a safe pathway is a priority for us.

These pathways get us & our neighbors out and off our dangerous forested roads that have a lot of blind corners for cars. Love being able to take a stroller through the woods and even get to the playground. Wish it came up to our driveway.

As a life long resident of Norwell I've witnessed a decline in quiet and safe roads. I feel it's of the utmost importance to create safe and quiet walk ways to connect important destinations and bring back some of those qualities that have been eroding. I know many people have strong opinions about the proposed walkways but please consider some of the things that may make the town stronger and better. We will all benefit from improvements.

Just so long as I and others can still hunt on the public land that will used to connect to Grove Street, I am all for it. Increasing access to ALL people should be a priority.

I think it is a great idea. The town has done a great job with the pathway from the high school to River St. Also, my dog loves to walk the pathway, we look forward to seeing an additional path that connects the town and brings the residence together.

I think this is a fabulous connection! Grove Street is very dangerous for anyone to be on. Thank you!

Norwell townspeople of all ages enjoy the existing Pathways off-road recreational space. It would be wonderful to expand the Pathways over existing town woodland and wetland to provide even greater access to the Town's resources, and potentially link up with Wampatuck State Park.
