Please offer the rights to Peter Jackson. I have enjoyed the books and movies more than any form of entertainment out there, ever. This would be a perfect way to conclude such a beautiful story.

iv only seen the hobbit movies and I loved them I'm planning to watch the lord of the rings movie I already know that they are amazing movies but I want more middle-earth movies

I believe the Silmarillion would make a great serie of movies. It would be difficult to split the story into parts that make sense and follow up. I don't mind who directs this movie while Tolkien Estate comes to an agreement with that director (producer, etc.) about the content of the movie and the finances. Tolkien fans will like this movie and it will probably be a huge hit in the public if they know that it is the prequel to all. I recommend Peter Jackson, although it seems that Tolkien Estate did not like his representation and that he doesn't seem like he would be up to it. The reason I recommend him is that he has been the only one to make this real and I believe he is exceptional. Others would have probably made it worse. I believe he has done his best with what he had.

This book translated into a movie would be epic! It would also give a book that a lot of people don't know about the recognition that it deserves! Peter Jackson has done so much justice to the Tolkein universe, one a very small sect in book to film history.
