The horns need to stop. We have a right to peaceful enjoyment of our homes.

I live close to the crossings of 79th and 82nd streets where each train blows its horn 8 times (4 for each street). At certain times, two, three or even four trains pass with little time apart. One time I counted 24 horn blows almost non-stop. This is inhumane. Our quality of life and our health is being seriously affected. We must have a quiet zone.

Even if the decibels can be lowered in combination with flashing lights, it would already be better. My daughter wakes up crying at night due to the noise. She is 6 years old.

To regain quality of life in our community, I am petitioning the governing agency of FEC rail crossings in Miami-Dade County to implement use of quiet zone technology immediately.

The Trains are awful at this point. It is so much different then before. The trains are constant and blow the horns so often it seems as though they want to bother people. I never complain and have never signed a petition (I am 48) but, this needs a solution!! I live just west of 2nd ave and the trains are not close to me but, this is a non-stop barrage of deafening noise.

The sound is frightening and disruptive. Brightline, Miami shores, whoever it is- please do what needs to be done to make this happen. And if someone knows something specific that needs to be done, PLEASE SHARE.

We have moved to Miami Shore last December, and the train is really a nuisance And sound pollution. We are living 1/2 mile from the rail road and and can ear the horn very strongly. We can imagine what is like, for the houses nearer and especially at night. It has got to stop! Our days the train can be equipped with strong LED lights which can be seen day and night. Some weeks ago it has stoped for a while! If any crazy or desperate people wanted to cross the rail road they can ear the train coming for far away just with the wheel sound anyway. (LED lights could also help ...). M. Mayor or Senator, Help!!...
