Ngati Wai This mandate is paper genocide, an abuse of our treaty rights and our birth rights that our tupuna left for us with respect to our mana and tino rangatiratanga of our lives and taonga.

We the undersigned OPPOSE Crown recognition of the Ngatai Rehua Ngatiwai Ki Aotea's Board mandate on the following grounds: Clause 2 does not recognise Hapu Rangatiratanga. This is again another crown lust for power. They have usurped the authority mandate of the Queen and stolen her Power of Attorney by setting up their "For Profit Corporation ("Her Majesty Queen in Right aka the Crown") and now the Crown want to usurp the Mana of the Hapu and place the authority with this Trust Board. The rightful Sovereigns of Aotearoa are "Te Wakameninga O Nga Rangatira O Nga Hapu !!!!!!!!ANAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

All aspects of a settlement claim MUST BE FAIR. It seems Step 1 in this claim, being correct and true Whakapapa has been played with. This is serious misrepresentation which if not attended to now, in law, will cause irreversible damage to the true whanau blood lines of Aotea, Great Barrier Island. This is an issue all New Zealanders must become aware of and support. Cultural whakapapa is the cornerstone of the maori culture. We all appreciate knowing who we came from and where, so let's help this hapu stand up for the truth about their home/ancestral lands.
