Urgent: Open letter to the Academy of Fine Art / Oslo National Academy of the Arts

We, the students of the Fine Art Academy, would like our opinion to be taken in consideration in the decision making process of the continuation of the professorship of Susanne M. Winterling. With this letter we express her utmost importance and role as professor in our education. For many of us, she has made an immense effort and work to develop our skills in critical thinking in and around our artistic practices and beyond. Susanne brings new energies to the institution through her work in organizing the lectures that we gain a lot of knowledge and skills from. We also believe that she compliments the pool of professors and teachers significantly by her unique pedagogical approach and engagement that challenges and motivates us to explore new boundaries in each and everyone's artistic research. We hugely appreciate her work at the Academy and think that she plays a very important role in our lives as emerging artists. It would be, in our opinion, a huge loss for our education not to have her as a teacher, mentor and friend.
