A downtown stadium would really help progress the plans for a revamped Saskatoon downtown North. Soccer is the sport with the highest participation rate in the city and province, for both youth and adults. There is a huge amount of momentum behind the sport, and with Canada set to co-host the FIFA Men's World Cup in 2026, this would tie in nicely!

This is a chance for Saskatoon to be at the start of a huge evolution and next step in Canadian Soccer history. In addition this opportunity will create pathways that haven't existed for the 1000's of our cities youth that play now and in the future as the sport continues to skyrocket in popularity. This multipurpose stadium would be a great addition to our progressive and booming downtown without dominating the space. Without any tax paying money being spent? No brainer.
