I played at Spotswood high school during the years he coached New Brunswick and he did a lot of great things for the players at that high school.

My name is Jonathan Casillas, graduate of New Brunswick High School in 2005 and former player of Coach Jon Quinn. I attended the University of Wisconsin on a full football scholarship, electing to leave early for the NFL in 2009. Heading into my 8th year as a Linebacker in the NFL, I have won 2 Super Bowls while playing for 4 different teams; Saints, Buccaneers, Patriots, and my current team the NY Giants.
I played basketball since I was a kid. I didn't started to playing football until my freshman year the year before Quinn arrived. I was raw but athletic, and played as well as a first year player could. At the end of the freshman season I was brought up to varsity. I actually ended up quitting the team. The reason being that the current head coach was just not a good person. He knew little about football and was a prick.
Coach Quinn arrived heading into my sophomore year in which I had no plans on playing. But upon meeting him I knew he was different. Not only the way he talked to us but also by the level of standard which he required. He moved my position, which I wasn't happy about at first. But moving me from DB to LB, I excelled on the JV team and was quickly moved to varsity. By the end of the year I was a starter and we were a 1 loss team only losing in the State Championship. It was a heartbreaking loss that hit all the players hard. The following season was the year we went all the way. And if it wasn't for Quinn's "1 more yard" slogan/mantra to avenge our last years defeat, idk if all the guys would've been able to shake losing in the state finals the year prior. Being a New Brunswick/Jersey City(where I was born) native it is difficult to find something motivational and worth dedicating yourself to. It is even more difficult to find strong men, father figures who support and believe in young minority kids, Quinn provided us with just that.

As a former player under Quinn at Elizabeth I firmly and strongly believe that his termination is unjust and biased. The basis in which used to terminate Quinn were expectations and not actual job specifications he needed to complete as head coach. If the same terms were to be applied to other head coaches of Elizabeth's athletics teams it would show many would fall under need of termination just as Quinn, few in which even have the coaching experience or record in their respective sports as Quinn. If Elizabeth's allows Quinn to walk away the city and our student will truly lose one of the best things to happen to our program in decades.

Coach quinn needs his job back he really do at least finish the season off
So sad that they did this to him that carlos they gave him too much power when u push hard for something thats wrong u dont have good luck.
