Rosalind Franklin was a very well-known scientist in the 1960s. She was very involved in DNA discovery and used X-rays to get the first picture of DNA ever discovered. She also didn't want to collaborate with men James Watson and Francis Crick. They asked her to collaborate and while going to the labs asking took one of her DNA photos and used it to make their model of DNA. She also explained to them alot of information about the DNA model that they wouldn't have guessed otherwise. Despite her major involvement in the discovery of the DNA model she is still not co-credited as one of the discoverers of DNA. Furthermore if you watch a small clip of Watson or Crick speak they both come off as very arrogant despite stealing most of their information from other scientists. Worst of all Franklin died when she was 37 because in order to get pictures of DNA she had to be constantly exposed to X-ray radiation thus causing her to get cancer and die early. Because of this she could not argue her case for the nobel prize as it was awarded several years later. She gave up her life for science and is not even given the credit she deserves. Furthermore both Crick and Watson were both known to be major womanizers.
