We drive our son to Banwell and park in the car park opposite. The zebra crossing is as said often blocked by cars and view is obscured. Very dangerous and always a nervous moment crossing it.

The road in general is to fast given the narrowness of the footpaths. If one side is Quedgeley then the drivers going in the opposite direction have no where to go. Meaning they are going to fast and to close to narrow pavements. The zebra crossing is often obstructed by cars and lorries making it difficult to pedestrians and drivers to see ea h other.

Conservation overriding safety in this instance is not a sensible decision. I've had several near misses myself on this stretch of road walking with my son in his pram.

Absolutely absurd the council wouldn't put children's safety (including my own) first. That road should also be a 20mph zone.

It's a hugely dangerous stretch of road, and there is no good reason for not improving safety for local school children.

This has to happen. In fact it should have happened years ago.

100% agree action needs to be taken. I have witnessed numerous near misses over they years . Lollipop person needs to be available for breakfast club , normal school drop off and after school. Flashing lights and to be honest traffic lights as it is extremely dangerous.

My children go to this school and I have lost count of the times they have ad near misses. I have mentioned this to the school on numerous occasions as well as to the Parish council - something needs to be done - before a child dies!

Do we have wait for a child to die outside the school before the council take action!! Every day there is a near miss!!! Wake up council before it’s too late!!

It is a very dangerous with a lot of frustrated drivers that have sat in traffic so once they are out of the narrows they have s habit of putting their foot down to make up time - not realising it taking much notice of the crossing

A beautiful little village but children have to cross a busy road to get to school and I witnessed cars speeding by with no traffic control aids

This shouldn't need to be asked to be done. It should already be in place. Every other school has a warning to oncoming traffic their is a school coming up, so why not Banwell??
