To whom this may concern, For many Australians, the highlight of a Saturday night used to be sitting down in front of the TV to watch the brilliant array of talent on the Sideshow. Since the ABC decided to not renew this fantastic show, many were deprived of the chance to watch Australian music, new comedy, and new cabaret acts, many of whom were'nt well-known or would otherwise get little to no TV exposure. There are many fans of Paul McDermott, Claire Hooper, Flacco, Tripod, the Umbilical Brothers and Cameron Bruce and the band, and while some have secured roles on current TV programs, the performances on the Sideshow shall never be seen again unless a DVD is available for all to purchase. While it has made way for other comedies, some of the acts on the Sideshow may never be seen again on Australian TV, and the program should not be forgotten and pushed aside completely. We, the undersigned, believe the Sideshow was a great success and quality television, bringing fun and happiness to many, and should be available for many more to see. We ask you to release a DVD of the Sideshow for us to purchase.
