The lack of proper side-chaining functionality in the Akai MPC Software is something about which I (and judging by various discussion forums, many others) have long been critical.
Side-chaining support for Insert Effects (Compressors, Gates, Expanders, EQs, etc) is an essential tool used by audio engineers, producers, beat makers, etc to help instruments sit well in a mix, add punch to drum tracks, etc.
Ideally, the MPC Software should support Internal and External sources to be used as Side-chain sources.
Please sign this petition if you are a music professional or hobbyist that is in need of this key feature in the Akai MPC Software, MPC X, MPC Live, MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance, and MPC Studio.

I was about to buy an MPC Live yesterday until I realised it lacked this basic feature. I'm not bothering until it's added.
This feature should most definitely be in the software but it is not. In addition it should be possible to assign 3 or more filters from the filter screen, but its not. The software should allow more sends and returns, and more fx per pad/program/channel, but its fixed at 4, and the returns have phasing issues! Akai/Numark- step up!
Today sidechain took is a minimum requirement for an electronic music production!
This Feature is Needed & Is a must for someone like me who cuts 25 to 30 records a month for release as I'm Very Happy with my Akai MpcX Res & Also studio
I definitely desire this feature. MPC sampling drum machine sequencers has been my #1 tool for music production for 20 years. Now that the MPC is a DAW, features such as these will move me away from Pro Tools, Logic X, Maschine, Live, Cubase, etc.

We need this!! With 2.3 a lot of production problems have been solved. This is the last major feature that is missing.
