They actually listened and cleared the way for our kids to stay together at school which feels like a total dream after all the stress of the last few months. My brain is honestly still spinning a little bit but we did it and now we just have to keep …
We are two families with sons Archie Blackmore-Read and Thomas White. they have been denied a place at Oxley Park Primary School where their siblings currently attend, there are other families in the same situation. We believe that siblings should be kept together at the same school and are petitioning for an extra half class to be opened this september 2011 for those of us appealing and with siblings. It will not effect the education of the current children due to start. We also believe a new admission policy needs to be in place for siblings at this school as this situation is going to arise each year if the admissions department continue with their mismanaged approach. our children deserves the same education as his siblings. We thankyou very much for your support during this very stressful time.
I honestly cannot believe how many people are seeing this and feeling the same frustration because it really validates all those late nights staring at the admissions portal wondering how they could mess this up so badly. Seeing everyone rally around Archie and Thomas makes the whole stress feel like it might actually lead somewhere better than just another generic denial letter from the council.

Ridiculous. How are parents supposed to do drop offs at two different schools across town? Keep the families together.

TOTAL MESS. They need to fix the policy now before more kids get left out. Siblings belong in the same school simple as that.

My niece goes here and this is so unfair for the families involved. The school should be accommodating siblings first.
