Williamsport used auto dealer, Martino Auto, continues to blatantly disregard state and federal auto dealer and consumer protection laws.

My Experience:

I was in a desperate spot, as is most who have to go to a dealer such as this establishment. The owner of Martino's sold me a vehicle with an inspection sticker from 9/20, I bought the car in 11/20. He let me drive it off lot, with no inspection (didn't know at the time this is illegall) and told me he'd call when they made an inspection appointment. Never heard anything. I took the car to a different garage to see if it would even pass an inspection and the car failed with flying colors, long invoice of issues including bald tires, no horn, leaking transmission cooling line. I called Martino's to tell him he broke the law and I want my money back plus reimbursement for all the other charges I've covered. He responded by saying it, "isn't illegal" and in regards to refunding my money he, "doesn't know about that".

After doing some research, I found that this company is already on ACTIVE PROBATION for the same scenario, sentenced just one month prior.

I then went to a local Facebook group to ask if anyone in the area has also had a negative experience with Martino's. I got an overwhelming amount of responses, 99% of which being negative.

PA General Attorney processed my initial claim and recieved a letter of response from Martino Auto. This letter was also sent to me to review. Martino Auto owner, Brian Martino, had zero awareness of his/his companies blatant disregard of the law and even went as far as fabricating MULTIPLE, completely false allegations against me. Some of these fallacies include: "wrecking the vehicle", "destroying interior of vehicle", "(me) telling Martino's I would take the vehicle to their inspection garage and forward Martino's the bill".

Martino then confidently stated that he and his company went "above and beyond their duties", his establishment preformed a safety check on the vehicle and deemed it "definitely road worthy" and that "(I) am being completely unreasonable".

The general public should be warned of and protected from such a deviant practice taking place in our local community; justice needs to be instilled upon immediately.
