Shut Down Illegal Nightclub of Fairfax

This is a major safety issue for Wilshire vista neighborhood! LA CITY, please don’t wait until major event to occur and city has to settle out of court. Please be proactive!

llegal late night activity has been happening at these locations on Fairfax Avenue and a few of these places post online about their late night events (via instagram and TikTok) - 1043 Fairfax (Marathon) - 1046 Fairfax (lavish Lounge) - 1040/1044 Fairfax (event: Honey Roots operates from Ethiopix Lounge. This event is listed on Instagram at 1040 Fairfax, but on other sites you can see it’s 1044 Fairfax) Some of the nights don’t start until 11pm/ midnight which is why they keep disturbing us past 4-5am. It’s becoming impossible and really worrisome.

We live in Carthay Square and the noise is unbearable. Our local representatives have done nothing. Code enforcement has done nothing. The restaurant has been unresponsive.

yes I live on Whitworth just east of fairfax and we hear people going to their cars afterwards. It's loud and the cops can't come fast enough to silence the loud music after.

I have anxiety every single weekend night about the chaos that will inevitably ensue and if I’ll sleep or not, it’s just gross and so wildly disrespectful.

This has become an untenable situation and sadly makes living here increasingly difficult.

Hoping to finally see this chaos come to an end.

we too are being woken from sleep well after midnight with screaming and loud cars/ bikes. Lots of trash and broken glass dumped in front of our house

I'm tired of being woken up at 3:30am every single weekend to yelling, screeching tires, fights, broken bottles, trash, and car accidents on my block. I don't even feel safe parking on my own street (S. Hayworth) on the weekend. This needs to stop.

I believe there is also an issues with the close Marathon Restaurant at 1043 S Fairfax holding gatherings between the hours of 2:00-6:00am.

Please, please consider this petition - our street has become unsafe at night, we have witnessed several hit and runs from people driving under the influence and parking in front of our homes for the parties/gatherings on Fairfax - we shouldn't have to worry about our parked cars getting totaled due to drunk driving and people partying while we are sleeping at 3 am. We ourselves have also experienced more than one break in attempt into our home due to these rowdy gatherings on Fairfax.

A few of us on the Cathay side are dealing with the same exact issue coming from the old Marathon restaurant - after hours club operating on the weekends from 2 am till 4 or 5. Screaming, music blaring, revving engines, empty alcohol bottles, threats when you ask them to quiet down. Been trying to get it resolved for a couple of years with the police, the district, the neighborhood assoc and city attorney. Keep getting told it is in the hands of the city attorney and it takes time. Hopefully this petition adds pressure. I think we have to generate one against Marathon as well. Good to see this.

This place needs to respect the neighborhood and residents or get shut down!

I drive through this section of Fairfax at 5:30 am on the way to work and have seen groups of people dressed up for clubbing, blocking traffic and driving recklessly. If that's happening at 5:30 am, I can only imagine what's happening a midnight.

These after hour clubs need to be shut down. They go on until the wee hours of the morning and cause havoc within the neighborhoods next-door.

This nightclub has been terrible for the neighborhood - undesirable activities and hoodlums abound - please stop this
