Huntley Power plant is the last big carbon polluter in New Zealand. Over 50% of New Zealand's green house gases are produced by this power plant!!!. New Zealand does produce a lot of renewable electricity, in fact 81% of New Zealand's electricity consumption is produced in a sustainable way but we want to make New Zealand's electricity consumption 100% renewable. Green peace is already doing a petition and they only need 2,000 more to get to their goal, 20,000. We want to help them reach their goal and also to send a message to Genesis Energy uphold their promise and shut down their units by 2018.
