Seriously, I'm freaked out, we're all freaked out- it's hard to focus on classes, work. We're unsettled. Give grieving students time to go to counseling. Give theta chi time to get rested. Give the rest of us time to process.

I think we could all use a mental break, personally it worries me about our safety but with all the unfortunate events I feel we need a day or two to regroup

I work downtown and don’t even feel safe to work anymore. These things aren’t happening in Milledgeville they are happening on or right near campus. It’s sad the school doesn’t get how unsafe teachers, students, and parents feel

It is not normal for all of this to happen yet alone in ONE WEEK. GCSU needs to give their students some type of grief period. There is no way that anyone is able to focus on the rigorous school work that is required here. It is actually disgusting that there is no sort of remorse from the school. The students need time to heal.

I just graduated from gcsu in December and have been updated by several friends who are still in milledgeville on the horrible tragedies that have happened this week. Many of them are scared and feel unsafe leaving their houses. Many of them have been so mentally and emotionally scarred, as many of their friends or people they know have been involved in these tragedies. This NEEDS to be addressed and action NEEDS to be taken, as it has come to a point where it is negatively affecting the majority of students on campus in some capacity. Yes school is important, but not when it comes at the cost of others’ safety. Please make changes before anything more comes their way & they are faced with even more sorrow and heartbreak.
Gotta go
Please just one day to focus and reset.
We are not thriving
