If you are a resident, traveler or a working tax payer that travels on the Pines Road side of town, I need your help to making a start at getting our voices heard! The roads are horrible, especially for the people who work past Pines and W. 70th heading towards Teleperformance call center. What are our tax dollars doing for our neighborhood. Keep in mind this is home for you also if you work over half the week on this side of town. How many of you have wasted countless dollars in servicing your vehicle? How many of you didn't have a lot of issues with needing costly alignment fixes or tire issues til you started working in this area?? It's sad that our hard work and dedication to remaining working citizens only breaks us more. With the way the economy is currently going, who has unlimited funding for servicing your car more then normal?? What are the city official wasting money on?There's no way that you can tell me that when Governor Bobby Jindal and Mayor Cedric Glover came to Teleperformance to donate money or whatever, that they were driven down the same raggedy roads we travel daily. If they did, then shame on them for not getting this corrected or making some form of an effort to appreciate their citizens. The same citizens that keep this city running. The same citizens that wake up day in and day out to support our families, by getting up to make a living. The same citizens that elected you and expected you to make a difference. We, the citizens are the reason this city flourishes! Can we see our pockets do the same, by saving some money by switching to a council with common sense or get government officials who can really make a change everywhere, not just in the area's of convenience. They in the city fighting for dog parks and crap, but can't fight to have a well known areas, dinky, accident prone, hole filled road fixed. That's a shame. We as taxpayers need to put our feet down and make more complaints on this matter. If you agree share this information. Don't complain about something and you're not willing to speak on it and fight for it..This is just a start, but with much effort we can make a difference in the area we call home.
