I am currently a nonbinary trans university student, and I host the Tumblr blog Rock of Aces on my experience as an lgbt+ Christian. I too attended a Christian school growing up, and there was a large stigma against queerness which really took a toll on my mental health. Events like GLSEN's Day of Silence would have been transformational in helping me accept who I was and to feel welcome rather than ostracized in my faith.

I'm Catholic and my family is kind of religious and I'm hella gay. I don't understand why people think being gay is evil, I mean the bible says mixed fabric is evil but it's really not so why do you think it applies to homosexuality?!?!

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community I really hope you're able to persuade your school to do this

I totally agree that schools don't really care about the lgbt community and this needs to happen.
