Hello This is a petition for me to get the ball rolling on an issue that is close to my heart and also to help others who are in the same situation as me. This petition will be used so that hopefully the Government can have a look at the law in regards to the rights for fathers and here are a few examples 1) Mothers refusing to inform an ex partner of where they take the child/children on holiday and who with. This should be out of curtosy and also the safety of child and also incase of an emergency 2) Mothers who refuse to let their child/children see an ex partner on special occassions rather than taking it in turns from year to year 3) Mothers who inform an ex partner of what he can and cannot do when a child is in the care of an ex partner. There is nothing worse than being told ' sorry iam the childs Mothers and what I say goes' its very upsetting. This may seem trivial but Fathers out there just dont have the money to attend court to fight for their child/children. Mothers have legal aid and basically hold all the cards and the majority of the time hold their ex partners to ransom. Many Fathers back down because at the risk of an ex partner causes problems when they are having their contact. If you feel as strongly as I do that Fathers should have more of an input when it comes to a child/children then please sign this petition and pass it onto your friends also. Final point to think of, if legal aid was not free Mothers, do you think that there would be half the problems that there are. There is nothing worse as a Father than asking for help from organisations and being told sorry there is nothing we can do unless you go to court.
