These regulations will not only impact second home owners, but the local businesses and employees that work in vacation rentals and property management. Area such as Keystone that were built to host tourists should not be subject to these regulations.

These restrictions might make sense in a metro area suburb, but they are not realistic in a resort. Keystone was built not as a town, but as a ski mountain with lodging, restaurants and shops. If you limit sleeping capacity, you are limiting the number of people who will come to the mountain and seek dining and entertainment. Please consider the financial impact of these regulations on the local businesses and local employees.

This is ridiculous and should not be passed. People need to relax and not be so uptight . This is a tourist destination that thrives on the people that come to ski and enjoy the mountains with there families. Do not pass these ridiculous regulations.

I believe the passing of these regulations is going to negatively impact most involved. We are a community that relies heavily on tourism and severely limiting the number of folks that can come to Summit County through occupancy limits (and be it mostly in properties that are built to hold this many people) is going to ultimately bring less dollars to our economy, not just in lodging, but at all other businesses too - restaurants, rental shops, shops, etc. This will cause employers to lay people off, people who live here will be the ones who lose. Keystone and Copper do not follow under the same blanket that these regulations are trying to address. Please, we urge you to slow down and think this through and work on enforcing existing laws and regulations that are already in place and could be the solution to many of these issues. My livelihood is directly at risk with the passing of these regulations. Please don't risk my future and success here with an impulsive decision - listen to the people that have been speaking out - these actions aren't in agreement with the majority.

Does anyone who lives in Summit County actually want this? Where is the problem? What is the problem? How does this solve the problem? I live here and I don't see any problem. Maybe that's because our complex is subect to an HOA that already regulates alot of the issues raised. Why not exempt units that are subject to a HOA contract?

As an owner of a short-term rental in the Tenderfoot Lodge in Keystone, I oppose these regulations. Our HOA company and our rental management company already handle any issues that arise. The financial impact that the regulations will put upon owners is yet another unnecessary government fee. This is being pushed through so fast, there is no time to logically think about the fallout. Please consider input from the rental owners before passing this kind of negative regulations.

I am writing to voice my opposition to these regulations. I am an owner at Tenderfoot Lodge and while I don't rent my unit, these regulations will impose undue burden on me if I chose to rent my unit, on the STR community in general and ultimately will impact revenue/rentals thus impacting the economy of Keystone.

We are in Keystone and this will negatively impact us on a huge level.

These regulations have not been thoroughly thought out and shouldn't be rushed to be implemented. They don't consider the variety of STR properties in Summit County.

I am an owner in River Run Village and am writing to oppose these regulations. I don't feel that the problem has been clearly defined and that proper dialogue is not being pursued. The units in River Run were built with the purpose of being STRs and owners already meet standards to keep their units in good operating condition and already address many of the board's concerns. The board needs to clearly state the problem they are trying to address and hold periods of public comment to have a conversation about how to best address those concerns.

As an owner of a property in Keystone, I am writing to voice my opposition to the proposed regulations and the speed at which they are trying to be approved. It is unnecessary government regulation which is not needed in the resort areas.

I own 3 condos in the River Run village. These were set up in 1996 as Short Term Rentals. Our declarations are specifically written to handle all issues that pertain to Short Term Rentals. We do not need any additional governance for an area of the county that our HOA is capable and competent at managing - as proven for the past 22 years. This is obviously something geared toward the single family AirBnB type rental issues where it may be necessary. But it is not pertinent for HOA's that were conceived as a Short Term Rental from inception.

Oppose. You are impacting ALL of us property owners who are unable to vote you out. What is your personal gain? Newspapers reporting on this to impact the next election?

I believe in "Management By Objective" so I ask the Planning Commission and County Commissioners: : "What is your objective?" If it is to reduce property values in Summit County these proposals meet the objective as soon many owners will sell their properties here and buy elsewhere to avoid onerous and ill-conceived regulations.

When the County provides any benefits or services in support of our rental activities - and starts responding to inquiries about road issues, and contributes to maintenance and plowing of our road - then we will consider complying with any such regulations that may be shoved down our throats!

I am opposed to these regulations and the hasty timeframe for discussion and implementation. Seems that is a way to raise money and penalize your constituents.

This proposal appears to have been conceived without input from all parties. Our property is in a resort community, tightly controlled and highly dependent on STR. If this is to be considered, there are certain properties that need to be excluded.

I have all of this covered by my HOA. Do not move forward with programs that are redundant and therefore unnecessary. This type of over-regulation is what gives government a bad name.
